With the full support of TPCA members and industry, there is annual increase in terms of booth size employed, number of buyer, and number of booth of TPCA show. The size has increased from 11,2000 square feet of 2000 to 31,500 square feet of 2007, and it is expected that by 2008 the size should reach 34,000 square feet. TPCA Show 2008 will be relocated to the exhibition hall of Nangang, which is found in Nangang economic and trade park. The exhibition hall is of an upper and lower-tiered exhibition hall, and it will be a large-scale professional exhibition hall 2,465 standard booths to be planned. Besides, its exhibition size will only be twice as large as that of Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC), but should also become another international exhibition venue in Taiwan after TWTC.

TPCA Show began to integrate PCB industry in the most directly-related industry as “electronic assembly industry” in 2003, and with the help and participation of Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) it has successfully integrated two critical products of electronic industry with PBC and electronic assembly industry. In 2007, it has, via vertical integration of the industry, worked with Economic Daily to sponsor SMT exhibition which is held since 1986. SMT exhibition has, for the last 20 years of long-standing history, successfully led the electronic industry of Taiwan to resort to exhibition and demonstrate the strength of electronic assembly industry of Taiwan to seek for buyers worldwide. Under the context that global manufacturing base is moving to China, electronic assembly industry of Taiwan is still retaining powerful international competitiveness. TPCA Show has already become the “must” event of purchase for the buying institutes of PCB and electronic assembly every year as it provides global buyers and participating manufacturers with a purchasing platform of greater efficiency and business opportunity.

TPCA Show 2008 is based on the products of “PCB” and “electronic assembly,” and is making use of “Green Tech” as its theme. Thus, aside from exhibition of PBC and electronic assembly products it will also put on display of environmental protection technology, and green technology. It is hoped that environment improvement or the enhancement of use efficiency on the manufacturing process of PCB and electronic assembly industry enhancement can be carried out as it works with the supply chains of each environmental protection equipment and materials as well as every resource recycled and retrieved as related to the manufacturing process of green industry.
