IMPACT 2021, which is organized by IEEE EPS-Taipei, iMAPS-Taiwan, ITRI and TPCA, is the largest gathering of packaging and PCB professionals in Taiwan. This year will be held on Dec. 21st -23rd at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, in conjunction with TPCA Show 2021. For grasping the latest trend, the symposium this year highlights the theme “IMPACT on 5G+”. As the rapid growth of 5G coverage over the world, the 5G commercial network enables an array of revolutionary technologies such as loT, artificial intelligence (AI), edge computing and wearable devices. Given the foundational infrastructure is advancing along with technologies, 5G brings faster speed and connectivity to those using it.

Even though the challenge of COVID-19 continued, IMPACT has organized diverse forums including Advanced Packaging Technologies, Heterogeneous integration, Market trend and HDI Technology sessions, etc. Also, this year, distinguished plenary speakers from TSMC, NIST, Micron, IBM Research and Unimicron will be gathered at the venue to deliver innovative speeches. With the support of virtual presentation, remote speakers can still participate. This is also the first time to have panel formed by IEEE-EPS which invites global experts in packaging filed to share the advanced technology. Furthermore, collaboration with JIEP, iNEMI, ICEP and Embedded sessions with foreign experts bringing the audiences accesses to the cutting-edge trends and international collaboration opportunities. IMPACT 2021 is ready to make another positive impact towards PCB & Packaging field.
