Industry Leaders Gather to Celebrate Taiwan’s PCB Excellence and Sustainable Future
Taiwan Printed Circuit Association (TPCA) hosted its inaugural PCB Outstanding Contribution Award Gala on the opening night of TPCA Show 2025 (October 22) at the prestigious Grand Hilai Taipei. Nearly 300 distinguished guests from government, industry, academia, and research institutes attended the ceremony, coming together to celebrate the remarkable achievements and collective progress of Taiwan’s printed circuit board (PCB) sector.
This marks TPCA’s first time presenting the awards in a gala format—symbolizing not only the Association’s growth and legacy since its establishment but also a new chapter for the sustainable development of the PCB industry.
The evening was both grand and heartwarming. Beyond honoring individual achievements, the event served as a tribute to the dedication of all PCB professionals. Director-General, Mr. Chiou, Chyou-Huey i of the Industrial Development Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs, Senior Advisor to the President Shen Jong-Chin, along with global industry leaders and VIP guests, attended in person to witness this milestone moment for Taiwan’s PCB industry.

Special Contribution Award — Visionaries Who Lead the Future
Since its founding in 1998, TPCA has been committed to strengthening industry development, advancing international collaboration, and driving sustainability transformation. More than 2,000 volunteers and partners have contributed their expertise and passion to support TPCA’s mission.
To recognize individuals who have made profound and lasting contributions to both the industry and the Association, TPCA established the Special Contribution Award, honoring leaders whose vision and influence have shaped the industry’s future.
This year’s award recipients are:
Mr. T. J. Tseng, Chairman of Unimicron Technology Corp.
Mr. Simon Chen, Director & Senior Advisor of Unimicron Technology Corp. and former Chairman of TPCA
Both awardees previously served as TPCA Chairmen.
Mr. Tseng has long championed advanced PCB manufacturing and global expansion, elevating Taiwan’s presence on the world stage.
Mr. Chen pioneered sustainability initiatives, including the establishment of the PCB Environment Protection Foundation, laying a solid foundation for the industry’s long-term sustainable development.
Their leadership and dedication embody the responsibility and foresight required of industry pioneers.

International Outstanding Contribution Award — Strengthening Global Connections
In addition to honoring local leaders, TPCA presented the International Outstanding Contribution Award to recognize overseas experts and partners who have continuously supported Taiwan’s PCB development. This year, four distinguished recipients from different countries were honored:
